We had a great one about setting up your story at the beginning of the book and possibly launching too late in the action, which led into a conversation about front-loading info and when and how to use backstory. We got philosophical talking about empathy for characters and touched on AI writing. Then Kathryn hit me with a goals question—remember the earlier years of Story Works Round Table when we had an annual New Year’s episode about our goals?
